Marriage is a shared journey that, if you’re lucky, ends exactly where it begins, though it lasts a lifetime. Those are the words that popped into my head as I watched Felicia and Randy walk the labyrinth at The Grotto in Portland. I was already feeling reflective, with my own 13 year anniversary coming up, but something about these two walking the meditative labryrinth really stuck with me. The best marriages end where they begin… two people in love. Walk in circles or go a thousand miles, live in the same town your whole life or travel the world; as long as you are together, it’s a journey worth taking.
We had fun every minute of the engagement and wedding. The wedding was one giant party, and I mean, how do you beat lechon baboy (whole roasted pig) and a live funk band?? Felicia and Randy, you are fantastic… I wish you the longest of happy marriages, whether you journey far or stay close to home, I hope you end up right where you started.
