CJ + MICHELLE | CAMP SHERMAN, OR WEDDING

Love is often talked about when weddings are involved. Whether it is how much the groom loves his bride, how love wins, or even how the photographer is in love with love (barf, by the way, on that last one). One of my favorite things about weddings is seeing how love manifests itself, and Michelle and CJ’s wedding does a marvelous job of showcasing a personal favorite expressions of love, both in everyday life, and at weddings: the love within community. The impromptu mikveh in the river, au naturel. Those speeches from brothers and sisters tugged at my heartstrings, the dancing was so full of joy, the smiles in the crowd were delightfully infectious. The 32-person, two horse, two dog bridal party holds the new record for largest at any of my weddings, and it only adds to how much I adore this wedding.

The whole community of family and friends are equally featured here, because they feel every bit as memorable as the couple is… and I love that.

  • AndreaI’ve followed you for a while, Jay. I was having problems with my RSS reader and lost touch with your site for a few months. Now that I’ve reconnected, I remember why I followed you in the first place. I love everything about your work – the emotion, the processing, the composition, the genuineness (if that’s a word). Glad I reconnected!!
