ALLISON + TRIMMIE

Required listening HERE.

I just wanted to share a couple quick preview images… mostly to brag that the Ducks are going to the Rose Bowl.  Oh, and that Allison and Trimmie got married.  :)

Kirsten Alana - 1) LOVE your use of the quote from “Till We Have Faces”. It is quite possibly my favorite book ever, one I reread every couple of years and struggle w/ applying in my life. I get it sometimes and then other times, falter. 2) Love the bokeh in 3rd image and really terrific use of lighting in the second!!

SAMARA AND EMILY + SENIORS

Samara and Emily did a joint session to put a great bookend to what is likely the last of my senior portraits for 2009.  This has been a good year for me with seniors, and has really shown me the depth of my appreciation for senior photography and portraiture as a whole.  It’s what I love.

Samara and Emily brought their a-game, along with their friend Grace (who I swear I have met before, and she swears I am wrong).  We didn’t have the best weather to work with, but I still feel like the locations fit well with the mood of the final images.  Admittedly, I gravitate towards moody images and moody weather, but it can be a challenge when you’re dealing with bright, shiny smiles and dark, cloudy skies.  The sun did grace us with its presence from time to time, plus we definitely found fun light and locations.  The balance of fun and interest in the “art of the shoot” was just about perfect.  Great clients.

Speaking of clients… I am so very thankful for the people who choose me to take their pictures, I know there are SO many photographers to choose from.  It seems as though around here a new professional photographer launches their website every day.  My clients are very much appreciated.

I also wanted to use this post as a reminder about Help-Portrait, and that we will be doing an event here in Eugene, serving the Eugene Mission and First Place family development center.  If you would like to participate in any way, whether by taking pictures, setting up lights, bringing food, doing hair and make-up, or even just greeting and talking… contact me.
